Former Ohio State national champion Cardale Jones has joined the Staples football staff as a quarterbacks coach. Head coach Matty Jacowleff announced the addition on Tuesday following a summer inquiry from Jones. The former NFL and XFL quarterback, who currently works as a CBS Sports analyst, will assist in the development of the team's quarterbacks. This role follows an offseason for the Wreckers during which current quarterbacks coach Nick Chacho was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Jones has already participated in approximately 70 percent of team practices and intends to attend eight of the 10 regular-season games this year. He has worked directly with players including Brandon Gutman and Grant Bozeman to align his coaching approach with the team's existing playbook.
