Cardinals prepare cornerback Star Thomas V for training camp competition
Summary

The Arizona Cardinals are set to report to training camp on July 22 as they finalize their roster for the upcoming season. Cornerback Star Thomas V enters his fourth year with the team following a missed season in 2025 due to a torn ACL. Re-signed to a one-year contract worth nearly $1.5 million, Thomas faces questions about his recovery and field role. He will compete against Max Melton and Denzel Burke for a starting position opposite presumed starter Will Johnson, making the cornerback battle a key storyline during camp and preseason.
