Cardinals promote Jacoby Brissett amid offseason changes

Summary

The Arizona Cardinals have appointed Jacoby Brissett as their starting quarterback for the 2026 NFL season. Following a disappointing 3-14 season, the team parted ways with head coach Jonathan Gannon and former top pick Kyler Murray. Brissett, who played 14 games last season with 3,366 passing yards, received a pay raise in a new deal worth $15.5 million, with potential incentives reaching up to $21 million. The Cardinals also welcomed rookie quarterback Carson Beck and running back Jeremiyah Love, who is expected to play a significant role this season.
