Carlos Prates responded to Islam Makhachev's manager, Ali Abdelaziz, asserting his intent to challenge for the welterweight title. Prates was initially slated to fight Makhachev in January but will now face Michael Morales for the interim title on January 30 at UFC 336 in Toronto. Prates criticized Makhachev for not accepting the fight, claiming he intends to 'finish' Makhachev's legacy rather than enhance it. Abdelaziz dismissed the contenders, asserting none would contribute meaningfully to Makhachev's legacy. The buildup to UFC 336 intensifies with Prates's bold statements on social media.
