Castleford Tigers hire Luke Robinson to assist during Carr's absence

Castleford Tigers have appointed Luke Robinson to assist the team while head coach Ryan Carr is away for personal reasons. Carr missed last week's home defeat against Hull KR and will also miss the upcoming match against Hull FC. Director of Rugby Chris Chester has been leading the team during Carr's absence and confirmed Robinson's role will not be that of head coach. Chester stated the club is not actively seeking a replacement for Carr, who has been head coach since August last year. A resolution regarding Carr's situation is anticipated by the weekend or early next week.
