Peoria Centennial moved to 3-0 on the season with a 27-3 victory over Mesa Mountain View on Friday, Sept. 11. Safety Nate Olmos led a defensive effort that produced seven total takeaways, including a scoop-and-score touchdown in the third quarter. Despite losing tailback Damonte Drake to an ankle injury in the second half, the Centennial offense relied on Derrion Bartholomew, who added a 16-yard touchdown run. The Centennial defense held Mesa Mountain View scoreless after the visitors kicked an early field goal.
