Chargers face critical decisions ahead of NFL trade deadline

Summary

The Los Angeles Chargers, currently at 0-7, approach the 2026 NFL trade deadline with significant challenges. General manager Joe Hortiz is urged to consider trading veteran players like Khalil Mack to prioritize the team's future rather than attempting to salvage a lost season. Despite possible reluctance to move players, including evaluate assets like Tuli Tuipulotu and Dalvin Tomlinson, doing so is seen as vital to reshape the roster. The Chargers aim to secure a top-three pick in the 2027 NFL Draft, potentially targeting promising receivers to better support quarterback Justin Herbert. The team's next matchup is against the Houston Texans, adding urgency to the decision-making process.
