Charlie Tear signs one-year contract extension with Sussex

Charlie Tear, the 22-year-old wicketkeeper, has agreed to a one-year contract extension with Sussex, effective immediately. He has played across all three formats this year, scoring 379 runs in the One-Day Cup with an average of 47.37 and two centuries. Tear expressed his excitement about continuing at his childhood club. Sussex, facing financial pressures and salary restrictions from the ECB, has seen other players depart but retains Tear as part of their future plans. He recently represented the Professional County Club XI against the Pakistan Test team.
