During a conversation on the Insight podcast, Green stated that she felt an immediate crack and a surge of heat during the match, leading her to inform the referee on the spot that her face was broken. Despite the severity of the injury, she initially expressed concern that her championship reign might end. After seeking medical treatment at the emergency room, she inquired about a recovery timeline to ensure her return to the ring. WWE doctors officially cleared Green to compete on the September 4 episode of WWE SmackDown. As a result of the injury, she is now required to wear a protective face mask during her matches.
