Chevis Smith takes over as Norman North basketball head coach

Chevis Smith has been hired as the boys basketball coach at Norman North High School, confirmed by athletic director Dusty Porch. Smith recently resigned from Del City, where he achieved a 21-8 record and reached the Class 5A state semifinals. He replaces Jordy Harris, who led Norman North to an 8-17 record last season. Smith previously coached Lawton to a state runner-up finish and has experience as an assistant at multiple schools. The Norman North administration is optimistic about Smith's impact on the program.
