Chicago Bulls host OKC Thunder for Stacey King Celebration Night

The Chicago Bulls will hold a Stacey King Celebration Night when they host the Oklahoma City Thunder on February 4. The event honors King, who served as a broadcaster for the organization from the 2006-07 season until his death on June 7 at age 59. King had deep roots in Oklahoma, having played for the University of Oklahoma men’s basketball team from 1985 to 1989. During his collegiate career, he led the Sooners to the 1988 NCAA championship game and remains sixth in program history for career points. Chicago selected King with the sixth overall pick in the 1989 NBA Draft, and he later contributed to three consecutive championship seasons for the Bulls. The February game is scheduled shortly after what would have been his 60th birthday on January 29.
