Chickasha football player Javier Nieto participated in the Oklahoman’s Prep Spotlight series, where local athletes share personal insights from media day. The senior, who measures 5-foot-9 and 170 pounds, identified his primary motivator as the doubters surrounding him and his family. During the feature, Nieto noted that he believes he would excel at basketball if given the opportunity. He also named former Fort Cobb-Broxton baseball standout Eli Willits as the toughest athlete he has faced during his competitive career. Beyond football, Nieto expressed interest in seeing the school mascot changed to the Chargers.
