This marks the first occurrence since 2013 of two teams failing to qualify for the playoffs the previous year while achieving a 4-0 start. Kansas City experienced a disappointing 2025 season, finishing with a 6-11 record after three consecutive Super Bowl appearances. Minnesota, however, ended 2025 with a 9-8 record and is now on a nine-game winning streak, the longest active in the league. The Vikings will play against the New Orleans Saints next, aiming for their tenth consecutive victory.
