Choctaw wins first game as Mosley stays undefeated in high school football

Choctaw secured its first victory of the season with a 21-14 comeback win against Pace on Friday. Trailing by one point late in the fourth quarter, quarterback Baker Giles connected with Amir Reese for a 42-yard touchdown to reclaim the lead. The Big Green defense successfully held Pace to seal the win after previously struggling with a 0-2 start. Elsewhere, Mosley improved to 3-0 on the year by defeating Niceville 28-9. Niceville struggled in the red zone throughout the night and has now lost four consecutive meetings against the Dolphins. Baker also moved to a 20-14 victory over Holmes County in other regional action. Choctaw looks to build on its first win when it travels to face Escambia on September 11, while Niceville prepares to host Navarre on the same date.
