Sporting Director Christoph Freund affirmed the strategic focus of the Bayern Munich academy in developing talent for the first team. Since joining the club in 2023, Freund has overseen significant personnel changes at the campus to address previous inefficiencies in the youth system. The current first-team squad features four players who graduated from the academy. While the club previously showed hesitation regarding its internal pipeline, the leadership is now prioritizing the integration of homegrown players.
