City Rocks, an AAU basketball program, aims to establish a permanent practice facility in the former Adirondack Trailways bus station on Broadway in Albany. Founded in 1993, City Rocks has produced numerous collegiate and NBA athletes. The proposal, submitted by Jim Hart and his family, included a basketball practice facility and nine apartments but was ultimately not selected by Capitalize Albany, which chose the Galesi Group and Columbia Development for downtown redevelopment.
