The City Section Executive Committee voted 6-4 on Thursday to uphold a three-year football playoff ban for Narbonne High. The ruling ensures the school remains ineligible for postseason play for a second consecutive year due to previous rule violations. Principal Andrew Kasek presented an appeal to the committee, detailing administrative changes and new oversight policies implemented under his leadership since 2025. While committee members acknowledged improvements, a majority remained concerned about the program's history and the potential for continued outside influence. The committee recommended Kasek return in 2027 for an evaluation of whether the final year of the ban could be lifted. Narbonne is currently 1-2 this season under head coach Patrick Goodpaster.
