CJ Carr named to Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award watch list

Notre Dame junior quarterback CJ Carr has been selected for the 2026 Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award Watch List, which honors the top upperclassman quarterbacks in college football. Carr stood out last season, starting all 12 games and throwing for 2,741 yards and 24 touchdowns, tying for the most touchdowns in a player's first 12 career starts since 1966. He ranked first among returning Power 4 quarterbacks in yards per completion and second in both yards per attempt and touchdown rate. Carr also previously earned spots on the Maxwell Award and Walter Camp Player of the Year Watch Lists this month.
