Cleveland Browns trade Myles Garrett to Los Angeles Rams for draft assets

The Cleveland Browns traded three-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams on June 1. In exchange, the Browns acquired edge rusher Jared Verse along with a 2027 first-round pick, a 2028 second-round pick, and a 2029 third-round pick. Cleveland general manager Andrew Berry stated the team sought to transition toward a younger core despite the difficulty of moving a franchise cornerstone. The Rams pursued the deal to bolster their defensive line and capitalize on the return of Aaron Donald. The move provides the Browns with long-term cap flexibility and additional draft resources while the Rams align their roster to contend for Super Bowl 61.
