Cleveland Guardians target right-handed hitting ahead of trade deadline

Summary

As the MLB trade deadline approaches, the Cleveland Guardians are focused on adding right-handed hitters to their lineup. MLB insider Ken Rosenthal reports that they are actively pursuing options, including Baltimore Orioles outfielder Taylor Ward. The Guardians seek a power boost to their offense, which has been lacking pop from the right side. However, other teams, such as the New York Yankees and Texas Rangers, are also interested in Ward, complicating negotiations. The status of the Orioles as potential sellers remains uncertain, impacting potential trades involving Ward.
