Cleveland Guardians trade for outfielder as playoff push continues

Summary

The Cleveland Guardians are engaged in a competitive race for a 2026 playoff berth and are just four wins short of 10,000 regular-season victories. In an effort to strengthen their roster, the Guardians traded catcher Bo Naylor and pitcher Codi Heuer to the Milwaukee Brewers for outfielder Blake Perkins and reliever Craig Yoho. Perkins is seen as a solid defensive center-fielder, which could lead to a larger deal involving fan favorite Steven Kwan. The trade deadline is set for Monday at 6 p.m. ET, and it could influence the team's playoff ambitions.
