Coby Bryant injury forces Bears to adjust defensive back lineup

Chicago Bears safety Coby Bryant is expected to miss 8-10 weeks due to a left knee injury. His absence will require the team to make significant adjustments to their defensive back depth chart, particularly at nickel cornerback and safety. With Kyler Gordon also sidelined by a soft tissue injury, veteran Cam Lewis will shift focus to safety, while Jaylon Jones, Malik Muhammad, and Josh Blackwell will compete for nickel reps. The Bears have been challenged by injuries in their secondary during training camp and aim to avoid a repeat of last season's injury struggles that affected their performance.
