Colby Covington leaves door open for return to UFC competition

Colby Covington maintains he is not fully retired from professional mixed martial arts despite an announcement made this past May. The former interim UFC title challenger stated that his departure from the promotion was primarily intended to allow him to pursue his interest in wrestling through the Real American Freestyle circuit. Covington, who holds a 4-0 record in the organization, remains an investor and competitor in the promotion. While he expressed satisfaction with his career accomplishments in the UFC, he stated he would still consider returning for the right matchup.
