Colorado defensive line earns nation's top grade following Week 1 performance

The Colorado defensive line received the highest Week 1 grade from Pro Football Network after limiting Georgia Tech to 18 rushing yards on 24 carries. Despite a slow start that allowed 33 yards on the first possession, the unit held firm for the remainder of the game. Defensive end Lamont Lester Jr. led the effort for Colorado with three sacks and three quarterback pressures. While the defensive performance marked a significant shift from previous seasons under Deion Sanders, the team still looks to improve its pass rush against future opponents. Colorado enters its home opener against Weber State on September 12 with a 1-0 start.
