Colorado football coach Deion Sanders features Chauncey Gooden as two-way player

Colorado head coach Deion Sanders announced Tuesday that interior lineman Chauncey Gooden played both ways during the team's 14-13 victory over Georgia Tech in Atlanta last week. Gooden, a 6-foot-3, 380-pound player, contributed on the offensive line and recorded one tackle during eight defensive snaps. Sanders, who encourages two-way play provided players dominate on at least one side of the ball, previously coached Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter in a similar capacity. The Buffaloes hold a 1-0 record and are preparing for a home matchup against Weber State on September 12. While quarterback Julian Lewis led the team to a late win against Georgia Tech, Sanders emphasized the need for offensive improvement heading into the next game.
