The win marked the start of Chagrin Valley Conference Valley Division play for both schools. After leading 14-12 in the fourth quarter, Conneaut secured the result on a 36-yard touchdown pass from Wyant Dobran to Jacob Thompson with 36 seconds remaining. Jonah Tenney initiated the scoring for the Spartans with a 73-yard kickoff return on the opening play. Berkshire quarterback Oliver Miller threw two touchdown passes to Bennett Miller, but the Badgers were unable to overcome the late deficit. Conneaut is scheduled to play at Kirtland next Friday.
