Crewe Alexandra signs Josh Stephenson on loan from Brentford

Crewe Alexandra has secured a loan deal for Brentford defender Josh Stephenson until January 2027. The 20-year-old left-back, who can also play centre-back, was elevated to the Bees' first-team squad this summer after a successful spell in Brentford's under-21 side. Stephenson, named 'Player of the Year' last season, appeared in several Premier League and FA Cup matchday squads but has yet to make a senior appearance. His loan to Crewe aims to enhance his first-team experience ahead of a new contract that runs through 2028.
