Cris Carter says Jeremiah Smith needs Heisman to be Ohio State's GOAT

Ohio State legend Cris Carter stated that wide receiver Jeremiah Smith must win the Heisman Trophy to be considered the greatest player in program history. Smith, noted for his exceptional physical talents, has drawn comparisons to prominent athletes like LeBron James. Carter highlighted that previous Buckeyes greats, including Archie Griffin, who is the only two-time Heisman winner, set a standard for recognition. While many see Smith as a special talent, Carter contends that winning the Heisman remains essential for entering the conversation about the best players at Ohio State. The discussion raises questions about the challenges of achieving such an accolade as a wide receiver in a quarterback-dominated award.
