Texas prepares for matchup against struggling Florida in Week 7

Summary

Texas and Florida meet in SEC action on October 17, 2026, with both teams aiming to bounce back. Texas is eager to improve after a recent loss, highlighting issues with offensive inconsistency and turnovers from quarterback Arch Manning. While the Longhorns excel defensively, Florida faces challenges, including struggling on defense and decreased offensive production, especially in the run game. The Gators' defensive performance has led to concerns, with missed tackles and coverage issues making them the worst in the SEC in total defense. The outcome may hinge on Texas' ability to control the line of scrimmage and exploit Florida's current vulnerabilities.
