Cristian Romero opts for Atletico Madrid over Barcelona and others

Summary

Cristian Romero has decided to join Atletico Madrid after interest from Barcelona, Inter Milan, and Arsenal. The Argentine center-back's choice comes after Diego Simeone's persistent pursuit over three transfer windows and follows Romero's strong performance in the World Cup. Although Barcelona sought a left-footed defender, they did not prioritize securing Romero. Atletico Madrid's negotiations with Tottenham are gaining momentum, focusing on Romero's salary and potential bonuses while he remains in Cordoba during the off-season.
