Crystal Palace finalizes Dwight McNeil's transfer in player swap
Summary

Steve Parish, co-owner of Crystal Palace, contacted Dwight McNeil's partner before the midfielder's recent move to the club. McNeil signed a four-year contract, joining Palace in exchange for Brennan Johnson, who moved to Everton. The deal follows a failed transfer earlier this year when McNeil was set to join Palace but the paperwork wasn't completed. Parish aimed to address concerns raised by McNeil's partner, Megan Sharpley, regarding mental health issues tied to the transfer process. McNeil is expected to contribute to Palace's recent success in cup competitions, while Johnson struggled during his brief stint with the club.
