Dakota Wesleyan volleyball claims NAIA academic national champion honors

SoccerDakota Wesleyan University volleyball has been recognized as the NAIA academic national champion for the 2025-26 season, achieving the highest team GPA in the league at 3.84. This marks the first time the program has received the award from the American Volleyball Coaches Association. The team has consistently ranked in the top 20% of NAIA academic programs for the last three years and had 14 players named NAIA scholar-athletes for maintaining GPAs of 3.5 or higher. In addition to academic success, the Tigers recorded 20 wins during the season and reached the NAIA tournament, with two players, Kayleigh Hybertson and Lizzie Tyler, earning All-American honors. The team will begin its new season on August 14 at the Our Lady of the Lake Invitational in San Antonio, Texas.
