Dallas Cowboys sign defensive lineman Elijah Garcia to practice squad

The Dallas Cowboys signed defensive lineman Elijah Garcia to their practice squad on September 1, 2026. The move follows his release from the Carolina Panthers on Sunday during the team's final roster cutdowns. Garcia, an undrafted free agent who entered the league in 2022, recorded seven tackles and one sack during his preseason tenure in Carolina. Throughout a four-year professional career, Garcia has appeared in 17 regular-season games with three starts while recording 18 combined tackles and one sack. He has previously spent time with the Los Angeles Rams, Denver Broncos, New York Giants, and Atlanta Falcons. Garcia will now join the Dallas organization following the conclusion of the preseason evaluation period.
