Darryn Peterson thankful for Kyle Filipowski's jersey number swap

Rookie Darryn Peterson will wear No. 22 for the Utah Jazz, a number he wore in high school and college. The switch was facilitated by teammate Kyle Filipowski, who agreed to change from No. 22 to No. 2 after being drafted second overall in 2024. Peterson expressed gratitude to Filipowski for the gesture. Last season at Kansas, Peterson averaged 20.2 points and was named a second-team All-Big 12 selection. He showcased his skills in the summer league, averaging 23 points in five games, including a standout 28-point performance on July 4. The Jazz management is looking forward to his contributions as the new season approaches.
