Detroit Tigers outline specific needs for Tarik Skubal trade

The Detroit Tigers have clarified their expectations regarding a potential trade of pitcher Tarik Skubal ahead of the MLB trade deadline. Instead of seeking the highest-ranked prospects, the Tigers aim for starting pitchers who excel in command and consistency. This strategy reflects the team's desire for players who can contribute immediately and help the organization remain competitive. The preference for pitchers who dominate the strike zone could also limit the pool of potential trade partners, as not all contenders possess suitable prospects. The decision on Skubal's future may influence Detroit's long-term roster strategy.
