Diamondbacks option Brandon Pfaadt to Triple-A Reno for development

Summary

The Arizona Diamondbacks have optioned right-hander Brandon Pfaadt to Triple-A Reno as part of a strategy to develop him as a starting pitcher. This decision comes as the team is competing for the National League Wild Card and has recently adjusted its pitching staff. Pfaadt, who has struggled this season with a 5.92 ERA in 13 appearances, previously showed promise in the postseason with a 3.27 ERA over five starts, helping the team reach the World Series. The move aims to build his pitch count without impacting the Major League roster.
