Dominic Young signs four-year contract extension with the Newcastle Knights

The Newcastle Knights have signed winger Dominic Young to a four-year contract extension, keeping him with the club through the 2030 season. The deal follows initial contract negotiations during which Young reportedly declined an earlier offer from the organization. Young returned to Newcastle midway through the 2025 season after a stint with the Sydney Roosters and has since become a fixture in the side under coach Justin Holbrook. The winger is currently serving a one-match suspension for a hip-drop tackle on Tolutau Koula but will be eligible to return for the first round of the finals. Newcastle is preparing for the post-season alongside a group of re-signed teammates including Dylan Lucas, Jermaine McEwen, and Francis Manuleleua. The club awaits the conclusion of the final round to determine if they will face the Rabbitohs or the Cowboys.
