Drury volleyball players Bray and Hilton earn GLVC weekly honors

Drury volleyball players Jacy Bray and Skylar Hilton received Great Lakes Valley Conference honors on September 8 following a 4-0 performance at the SBU Invitational. Bray, a junior setter, became the first player in program history to earn the league's Setter of the Week award after recording 129 assists across the weekend. Sophomore Skylar Hilton earned Offensive Player of the Week accolades, leading the team with 29 kills and 11 blocks while maintaining a.538 hitting percentage. The Panthers currently hold a 7-1 record, marking the program's best start in nine years. Drury will continue its schedule at the Ichabod Classic in Topeka, Kansas, starting with a match against Arkansas-Monticello on September 11. In other athletic news, the Drury cross country teams both finished third at the Bearcat Invite on September 5, with Rachel Omoruyi placing second in the women's 5K.
