Duke quarterback Walker Eget sustained a right leg injury during the fourth quarter of the game against Illinois. The incident occurred at the 6:45 mark while the Blue Devils held a 31-27 lead. Trainers assisted Eget off the field as he appeared unable to put weight on the injured leg. Despite the setback, the San Jose State transfer returned to the game after the injury. Before leaving the field, Eget completed 15 of 21 passes for 206 yards and three touchdowns. He previously missed spring practice sessions with the Blue Devils while recovering from ACL surgery.
