Dusty Rhodes Classic Finals set for next week's NXT special event

"

This week’s episode of NXT television featured the semifinals of this year’s edition of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic Tournament. First, the unexpected duo of Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno made it all the way to this point just to run into The Vanity Project, who received a first round bye as the current NXT tag team champions. Dar & Moreno were game all throughout, enough so that it felt more and more as the match wore on that they were destined to pull off the upset. Then Smokes was taken out, and Baylor was all by himself to be hit with Total Elimination for the pinfall. The cinderella run might actually make it to the finish line. Later on, the other champions still left in the tournament, the AAA World Tag Team Champions Galeno & El Hijo de Dr. Wagner Jr., were also taken out when Hank & Tank gave them more than they could handle. This means the finals are set: Noam Dar & Romeo Moreno will take on Hank & Tank on next week’s special episode on Wednesday night up against AEW. The winner will be presented with the cup by none other than the grandson of a plumber, Cody Rhodes himself. You in?
