Dwight Howard pursues business degree while playing in Mongolia

Former NBA center Dwight Howard is enrolled in college to earn a degree in business science. Now 40 years old and playing for the SG Apes of the Mongolian Basketball League, Howard shared that he has been working on his coursework while overseas. He decided to pursue formal education after being inspired by the academic achievements of former players Shaquille O’Neal and JR Smith. Howard also cited the influence of Jaylen Brown, noting that the Philadelphia 76ers player frequently encourages athletes to build their portfolios beyond basketball. Howard previously bypassed college after being selected as the No. 1 overall pick by the Orlando Magic in the 2004 NBA draft.
