Eastern Swans under-16s girls team wins inaugural premiership

The Eastern Swans under-16s girls team concluded their season with a premiership, having started with just four players at their opener against the Moranbah Bulldogs. After a challenging beginning, the team demonstrated significant improvement, finishing the season undefeated. Originally lacking a full roster due to delays, they received support from their opponents to play the match. Two players arrived just in time, allowing the team to compete. The Swans' assistant coach, Lauren Sonveld, noted the transformation in the players' confidence and skills throughout the season, especially from those new to the sport who also played basketball.
