Ecuador prepares for FIFA World Cup with Guatemala friendly on June 7

Ecuador and Guatemala will play an international friendly on June 7 at ScottsMiracle-Gro Field in Columbus, Ohio, starting at 4 p.m. Ecuador is currently training in Columbus as part of their preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set for June 11-19. Although Columbus will not host any World Cup matches, it serves as Ecuador's base camp during the tournament. Tickets are available through the Crew's website, starting at about $50. The city has implemented drone flight restrictions for the friendly's security, and bag restrictions apply at the stadium.
