Elche have acquired Thomas Lemar from Atlético Madrid on a loan deal that includes an option to purchase. The 30-year-old midfielder joins the club after being excluded from Diego Simeone’s plans for the current campaign. Lemar spent the previous season on loan at Girona, where he recorded three goals and two assists across 28 appearances. Since joining the Colchoneros for over €70 million in 2018, he has made 186 appearances and recorded 10 goals with 19 assists. This move follows Elche’s 15th-place finish in La Liga during the 2025-26 season.
