Enes Kanter expresses intent to break scoring records in WNBA

Enes Kanter recently stated his goal to surpass the NBA single-game scoring record of 100 points while competing in the WNBA. Kanter declared for the 2027 WNBA draft earlier this summer. In a conversation with Piers Morgan, he claimed that his participation would increase ticket sales and endorsement opportunities for the league. The current NBA record is held by Wilt Chamberlain, while the current WNBA single-game record of 53 points is shared by Marina Mabrey, A’ja Wilson, and Liz Cambage. No player has reached the 100-point mark in either league to date, with Bam Adebayo recording the closest performance at 83 points in March 2026.
