Manchester City is experiencing a transformation under manager Enzo Maresca following several key player departures. In addition to Pep Guardiola, Bernardo Silva, John Stones, and Nathan Ake leaving the club this summer, Rodri is expected to follow, with Barcelona reportedly preparing a new bid for him. These changes have created a leadership void within the squad as Maresca looks to establish his preferred team dynamics. Players like Erling Haaland and Ruben Dias are considered frontrunners for the captaincy, while others, including Phil Foden and Marc Guehi, have opportunities to step into leadership roles during the preseason.
