Fans criticize ESPN for ranking Usman Nurmagomedov above Ilia Topuria
Summary

ESPN's ranking of Usman Nurmagomedov at No. 2 above Ilia Topuria in its 2026 list of Top 30 MMA Fighters Under 30 has sparked significant backlash from fans. Topuria, a two-division UFC champion, was previously ranked No. 1 in 2025 and is celebrated for his recent achievements, including victories over notable fighters. Many fans have raised concerns over Nurmagomedov's placement, citing his lack of UFC competition despite an undefeated record in PFL. The list also faced criticism for the omission of Arman Tsarukyan and Gable Steveson's inclusion at No. 22 after a recent loss.
