Fernando Mendoza struggles in preseason game against Texans

Fernando Mendoza had an uneven performance in his preseason outing against the Houston Texans on August 21, completing eight of 15 passes for 86 yards, including a critical interception that led to a pick six. Despite the setback, the Las Vegas Raiders won the game 22-20. Mendoza demonstrated moments of promise, such as a 22-yard completion to Jalen Nailor, but faced challenges against a strong defensive unit. Head coach Klint Kubiak acknowledged Mendoza's need for improvement, indicating that he has lessons to learn before the next game against the San Francisco 49ers.
