Filip Nowacki wins gold at European Aquatics Championships

Filip Nowacki won the gold medal in the men's 200m breaststroke final at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris on August 14. He finished with a time of 2:07.70, narrowly edging out Dutch swimmer Caspar Corbeau, who clocked 2:07.78. Nowacki, who previously made history as Jersey's first Commonwealth Games medalist in 36 years, delayed opening his A-level results in order to focus on the competition. He has qualified for the 50m breaststroke event at the championships.
