Five Oregon football players expected to see larger roles in 2026

Oregon coaches have identified five players poised for increased playing time ahead of the September 5 season opener against Boise State. Sophomore cornerback Na’eem Offord and defensive tackle Matthew Johnson are expected to see significant snaps after notable improvements during fall camp. Outside linebacker Nasir Wyatt has added 30 pounds and developed his football intelligence to secure a larger role in the pass-rush rotation. The team also expects transfer wide receiver Iverson Hooks to compete for playing time alongside the established receiving corps. Tight end Kendre Harrison is also identified as a candidate for a profile-raising season. These players join a roster looking to build on the foundation set by veterans heading into the new season.
